TOWSON, Md. – Rick Vatz received the Tiger Athletic Fund (TAF) Donor of the Game award presented by
Spirit Cruises during Saturday's Men's Basketball game against William & Mary at SECU Arena.
Vatz, a tenured professor at Towson, has been a part of the Tiger community for nearly 40 years. He has a strong passion for athletics, and has seen tremendous growth during the last decade at Towson. "I have seen a number of programs hire great coaches that instill passion into their athletes," said Vatz. "To me, the Towson community is the greatest community in the state, and I want to support the continued growth of the University and the athletics department.
"I tell my students that their support at games is a great way to spread Towson pride, and I hope that tradition continues to build."
The Tiger Athletic Fund appreciates the support from Rick, as well as all donors to TAF. To join Vatz in supporting student-athlete scholarships
