TOWSON, Md. – The Tiger Athletic Fund (TAF) Donor of the Game Presented by Spirit Cruises was awarded to Howard and Lynn Budner during Saturday's Towson football game versus University of Delaware at Johnny Unitas ® Stadium.
Howard and Lynn, parents of former TU women's swimming and diving athlete Meredith Plack, have been supporters of Towson University for nearly a decade. Additionally, Plack was one of Towson's most successful women's swimmers in program history, leading the Tigers to multiple CAA championships, and having success in NCAA competitions.
"We choose to support Towson Athletics because of the great experiences that we had as a TU parent," said Howard. "Our daughter had an excellent experience and career at Towson as a swimmer and a student. The school has a lot to offer to it's students and athletes, and we want to be a part of this great institution.
"We also have a great deal of respect for Coach Pat Mead. He was an inspiration to our daughter, and has continued to be an inspiration to our family as we continue to support Towson Athletics."
The Tiger Athletic Fund thanks Howard and Lynn for their continued support of Towson Athletics. To join them in supporting student-athlete scholarships click here.
