Tigers Set 4x100m Relay School Record At ECAC Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Towson University women's outdoor track and field team set a school record in the 4x100-meter relay at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Sunday afternoon.

The team of junior Kelsey Fiddes, sophomore Zanae Freeland, freshman Brittany Shields and junior Kaitlyn Davis, timed 46.89 to finish in sixth-place for the event finals. The team scored three points towards the total team rankings for their finish.

"This is our first relay points ever at the ECACs," Head Coach Roger Erricker said. "The school record is so well deserved by such a hard working foursome. I'm so very proud."

The Tigers' improved on the previous school record of 46.95, which was set at the Colonial Athletic Conference (CAA) Championships in 2014. That relay team featured three members of this years' quartet: Davis, Fiddes and Freeland.
