TOWSON, Md. – The Tiger Athletic Fund (TAF) Donor of the Game Presented by Spirit Cruises was awarded to the Scarlato Family during Saturday afternoon's football game versus Delaware at Johnny Unitas ® Stadium.
Anthony and Melissa Scarlato are the proud parents of two Towson alumnae, Carly (2017) and Danielle (2015), and have purchased football season tickets ever since their enrollment. Each home game, Anthony and Melissa make the four-hour trip south from New York to cheer on the Tigers and spend time with Carly and Danielle.
"Going to games gave us the chance to see what it takes to be a student-athlete," said Anthony. "We were exposed to how much time they put into their studies, as they were at school well before the other students. We saw how disciplined they are out on the field and focused on success. That level of commitment is incredible, and we wanted to help in any way that we could. We give what we can, and feel good knowing that it makes a difference."
Neither Anthony nor Melissa went to college, and are happy to have shared this experience with their daughters while they were attending TU. Homecoming could not have been a more perfect setting to welcome back the Scarloto's as the TAF Donor of the Game.
The Tiger Athletic Fund thanks the Scarlato Family for their continued support of Towson Athletics. To join them in supporting student-athlete scholarships
