RALEIGH, N.C. – The Towson University dropped its final road meet of the regular season at NC State on Friday evening in Reynolds Coliseum. The Wolfpack won the meet with 196.150 while Towson posted a team score of 194.025.
 
Towson had gymnasts record nine top five performances and set or match three career highs.

How it Happened

• Towson totaled 48.350 on vault, led by Erin Tucker who placed second with a career-high score of 9.850. Gabriella Yarussi tied for sixth (9.725), followed by Bayleigh Fobes in eighth (9.675). Cortni Baker and Tyra McKellar recorded matching scores of 9.550 to finish tied for 10^th.
• On the uneven bars, Towson recorded a team score of 48.550. Tyra McKellar finished fifth (9.800) while Noelle Harada and Cortni Baker tied for sixth with matching scores of 9.700. Bridget Steffen and Gabriella Yarussi both scored 9.675 to tie for ninth.
• The Tigers totaled 48.300 on balance beam as Mary Elle Arduino tied as the runner-up (9.850). Noelle Harada and Bayleigh Fobes tied for fourth with matching scores of 9.800. Harada matched her career high while Fobes set a career best. Tyra McKellar finished seventh (9.725) while Gabriella Yarussi placed 11^th (9.125).  
• Towson's best event was the floor exercise as the team recorded 48.825. Gabriella Yarussi and Tyra McKellar tied for fourth (9.800). Cortni Baker and Erin Tucker had matching scores of 9.750 to tie for seventh. Noelle Harada and Bayleigh Fobes tied for 10^th with scores of 9.725.
• In the all-around, Tyra McKellar finished fourth with a score of 38.875. Gabriella Yarussi followed in fifth, scoring 38.325.

Towson returns home to SECU Arena on Sunday for its Senior Day meet. The Tigers host Cornell and Brockport at 2 p.m. Towson will honor its trio of seniors, Bailey Gallagher, Bayleigh Fobes and Bridget Steffen, after the meet's closing awards ceremony.
