RICHMOND, Va. – Towson University right hander Michael Adams was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Co-Pitcher of the Week after tossing six shutout innings against Norfolk State.
 
Adams improved to 2-0 on the season after allowing just four hits, all infield singles.  He added seven strikeouts, which is just one strikeout shy of his career-high set in his last start against Wagner.  He struck out at least one hitter in five of his six innings, including striking out a pair in the second and fourth innings.
 
He teamed with left hander Kyle Stricker to throw the program's first shutout since May 10, 2014 against Delaware.
