TOWSON, Md. – Alexis Hios' hole-in-one highlighted a strong final round performance for the Towson University women's golf team at the MSU Spring Citrus Challenge Tuesday afternoon.
 
How It Happened

• Towson shot a 298 as a team, which was the fifth best score of the day.
• It was the third time this year and first this spring Towson finished below 300.
• Hios' memorable moment occurred on the par-3 fourth hole.
• She used a five-iron and the ball navigated the 154 yards and funneled it right into the hole.
• Hios carded a two-over 74 to finish with a three round score of 226.
• She finished the event tied for 16th overall to lead the Tigers.
• Hios along with Jenny Buchanan were the only Towson players to finish among the top 25.
• Buchanan led the Tigers with a final round score of one-under 71.
• It was Buchanan's second under par round this spring.
• In finishing with a three round score of 228, Buchanan was tied for 22nd overall.
• Overall it was great day for the Tigers as Josephine Jung (76 +4), Erica Han (77 +5) and Alix Lowe (77 +5) all had strong rounds.
• Individually, Stephanie Bosdosh was tied for 31st overall after a three round score of 232.
• Towson finished 10th overall as a team with a tournament total of 924.

"It was a fun day. Our goal was to show that we could finish with the strongest score on the last day and we accomplished that. Jen led the way with -1 and we had four solid scores to back it up. Being consistent all three rounds is our goal. In order to do well at CAA's we need to keep a narrower spread between them. We are capable of that and will work on that for next week."
