RICHMOND, Va. - Football coaches from the Colonial Athletic Association will hold their second weekly media teleconference on Monday, Sept. 5.
For the first time, a free LIVE audio stream of each weekly teleconference will be available on CAAFootball.com beginning shortly before 10 a.m., and lasting the duration of the call.
Rob Ambrose, the head coach of Towson, will speak at 11:10 a.m. this week. He will talk about the Tigers' season-opening win over Morgan State and their upcoming game against Villanova.
The call will continue each Monday throughout the 2011 regular season and postseason. The scheduled calls will come to an end when the final CAA Football team completes its season in the 2011 NCAA Division I National Championships. Coaches and a selected student-athlete will participate in the postseason calls if their teams are still alive in Championship play.
Hosted by Scott Meyer of the CAA, the teleconference will open with the release of the selected player of the week winners, a recap of the weekend and a preview of the upcoming week.
CAA Football coaches will be available to answer questions beginning at 10:10 a.m. (ET). The NEW weekly lineup is listed below. Over the course of the season the league will incorporate a featured student-athlete segment at 12 p.m., should the demand dictate. The league office will announce when the student-athlete segment will be used in advance of the specific call.
