TOWSON, Md. – After a strong week for the Towson University softball team, Chloe Poulich has earned the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.
Poulich earns the team's first CAA Player of the Week honor since April 2018, when
Kendyl Scott was selected. Towson has earned a CAA weekly honor for two weeks in a row, with
Julia Jackson being the CAA Pitcher of the Week last week.
Towson earned a 3-1 week, splitting a doubleheader vs. Villanova then taking two victories against UMBC: 6-3 vs. Lafayette and 9-7 vs. Quinnipiac. Towson has won seven of its last eight games dating back to March 5
th.
The senior out of Greensburg, Pennsylvania hit .400 with four RBI during the week, including a 3-for-4 performance at Villanova with an RBI double. She followed by hitting her second home run of the season vs. Lafayette then going 2-for-4 with a run and RBI in the comeback win over Quinnipiac.
Poulich and the Tigers head to Mount St. Mary's this weekend for a 3 p.m. single game in Emmitsburg.
