Biography

Cross Country: (Senior Year) Struggled to overcome injuries ... ends her career with the best 5K time for a Towson runner (18:15) on the Oregon Ridge Park course that she clocked in her freshman year ... ran in five of the eight meets ... placed 7th for the Tigers in two meets, both 6K's. (Junior Year) Her times were off ... she scored in just half the meets ... top 5K time was 18:58 for a 5th place in the Towson Invitational ... best 6K clocking was a 22:58 for 38th place in the CAA Championships. (Sophomore Year) The only Tiger runner to finish first overall in a race in 2009 when she won the Towson Invitational in 19:14 ... had 4 top ten finishes ... the only Tiger to score in all eight races ... placed 5th at the Delaware Invitational in 19:11 and later placed 9th on the same course, different meet, in 19:29 ... opened the year with a 10th place finish (19:12) in the Baltimore Metro ... top 5K time of the year was an 18:49 for 19th at the ECAC's. (Freshman Year) Took to the lead right away for the Tigers ... finished first for Towson in 4 of the 8 events ... posted the best time of the fall for the Tigers in a 5K race when she set an Oregon Ridge Park course record for a Towson runner with an 18:15 in the Towson Invitational ... that erased the old mark of 18:22 set by Britta Nelson in 2005 ... she was named CAA Runner of the Week for that performance ... she also finished first for the Tigers in the Navy Salty Dog (6K - 24:05), the Delaware Invitational (5K - 18:36) and the CAA Championships (6K - 22:35) ... she finished second among all freshman runners at the CAA meet and 27th overall ... she posted 3 of just 5 sub-19:00 5K times last fall for Towson ... overall she had 3 top 10 finishes.

6K: 22:35 (CAA Championship Meet 2008).

Track: (Junior Year) Stayed with the 800 ... top indoor performance was a 3rd place finish at the Navy Lidlifter with a 2:23.27 clocking ... best outdoor time was a 2:21.70 at the Morgan Legacy Meet. (Sophomore Year) Ran a leg on two school record indoor relays including the distance medley (12:19.31) with Katlyn Dillow, Motara Okusaga and Kaylin Gilmartin-Donohue and the 4x800 (9:21.97) with Dillow, Gilmartin-Donohue and Nicole Smith ... posted a personal best 5:19.56 in the 1600 at the Navy Lidlifter ... also grabbed a piece of the 4x800 relay outdoor mark with Dillow, Gilmartin-Donohue and Rachel Jochem in 9:12.80 set at the Penn Invitational ... clocked a personal best 4:43.35 in the 1500 at the George Mason Spring Opener to move into 6th place on Towson's all-time list. (Freshman Year) Ran the 1000 and mile during the indoor season ... top 1000 time was 3:07.48 at the CAA Invitational to place her 8th on the school's all-time list in that event ... ran a 5:36.14 mile at the Bucknell Heptagonal ... outdoors she ran the 800 with a season best 2:19.63 at the CAA Championships for the 11th on the all-time list ... also ran the 1500 meters with a top time of 4:43.66 at the GMU Patriot Open to rank 5th on the program's all-time list ... teamed with Katlyn Dillow, Rachel Jochem and Michelle Donadio for an outdoor record 12:42.86 in the distance medley relay at the Stockton Invitational.

Background/Personal: Enjoyed a very successful career at Severna Park ... won the Anne Arundel County cross country championship in her junior year in 19:27 ... finished third in both her freshman (20:17) and sophomore (20:02) years and second in her final season (19:52.6) ... she placed fourth in the state meet her freshman year with a time of 20:47 ... she improved on that time with a 20:06 as a sophomore but finished sixth ... set a personal record for that course in her senior year with a 20:05 ... she was county champion in the 1600 indoor (5:24.59), 3200 indoor, 1600 outdoor and 3200 outdoor ... high school PR's included 5:12 in the mile (5 seconds short of the program record), 2:22 in the 800, 64.0 in the 400,  and 18:28 in the 5K when she shaved 29 seconds off her first sub-19:00 time ... other indoor PR's included 5:19 in the 1600 and 11:28 in the 3200 ... outdoors she turned a 5:11 in the 1600 and 11:16 in the 3200 ... a three-year team captain, she helped the Falcons to a pair of state team titles and four straight county cross country championships ... an All-County and All-Metro selection in cross country ... finished among the top five overall in six cross country races in 2007, winning the 4A East Regional title (18:34.00) ... she posted second place finishes in the Knights Invitational, the Disney Invitational and the county championships ... became hooked on running after watching her older brother, Artur, compete for the Severna Park boys' team ... emigrated from Kazan, Russia, with her parents and brother when she was five-years-old ... has performed classical piano at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. ... her dad is a math teacher at Chesapeake H.S. and her mom is a music director ... the person she most admires is her mom ... summer jobs for her have included "nannying" and training others kids to run...
