A to Z

ADA Services
All games at Johnny Unitas Stadium are accessible to wheelchairs and guests with disabilities.
Please call the Towson Athletics Ticket Office at 1-855-TU-TIGER to make ADA accommodations. Wheelchair and companion seating is available in every section of the stadium.
The ADA dropoff area is located at Gate B on the southside of Johnny Unitas Stadium on Auburn South near the press box.

Animals
Animals are not permitted inside of Johnny Unitas Stadium with the exception of service animals and service animals in training.

Artificial Noisemakers
Artificial noise makers (air horns, cowbells, etc.) are not permitted into Johnny Unitas Stadium. Be considerate and allow your neighbor to enjoy the game.

Baby Changing Areas
Baby changing stations are located in all of the restrooms at Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Backpacks
Backpacks, small purses, diaper bags, etc. will be permitted at Johnny Unitas Stadium and are subject to search. However, any bags exceeding 14"x11"x4" will NOT be permitted in the Stadium

Ball Return Policy
Footballs that enter the seating areas of Johnny Unitas Stadium MUST be returned to the field. Please find the closest security personnel for assistance.

Banners
Signs, banners, pictures, etc., that are offensive to individuals and teams, which are not in good taste, that block the view of spectators or create a safety hazard will not be allowed. The hanging or displaying of signs on stadium walls, bleacher areas, ramps, or on an area of proximity to the stadium is prohibited as a safety precaution, and to avoid defacing of property with tape, glue, nails, or other materials.

Bottles/Cans/Outside Beverages
No outside food or beverages will be permitted to enter Johnny Unitas Stadium. This includes bottled water, cans or glass bottles.

Claim Check
Claim check is located outside Gate C (North) and Gate A (South).

Concessions
Permanent concessions counters are located throughout the main concourse behind sections 103, 105, 110 and 112. Additional food and beverage services may be found at satellite concessions stands located throughout the concourse.

Credit Card Policy
Only Visa, MasterCard and Discover may be used to purchase tickets at the Stadium Box Office or at stadium concession stands.

Deliveries
Day-of game deliveries must enter on Auburn South to be checked in.

Emergencies
In case of emergency, the public address announcer will notify fans of developing situations, including: inclement weather, fire, power failure, and game delays. These announcements are made to let fans make informed decisions concerning their well-being and provide specific instructions about what to do. If possible, please familiarize yourself with the nearest exit points of the stadium.

Field Access
Only authorized personnel with proper credentials will be permitted on the field before, during or after a game. Violators will be subject to prosecution. In addition, no one under the age of 15 will be allowed onto the field/sidelines during a game.

First Aid/Medical Assistance
If you need first aid or medical assistance while at Johnny Unitas Stadium, please contact any Event Staff employee for assistance. First aid stations are located on each concourse being used for the event. If assistance is needed with a health emergency, report the situation immediately to any of the stadium ushers, or uniformed Police Officers.

Food and Beverage
Food and drinks are prohibited from being brought into the stadium. Chartwells is the official concessionaire for Johnny Unitas Stadium. Fans will find traditional stadium foods on the concourse(s) being used for the event.

Gate Times
Stadium gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Game times are subject to change.

Lost and Found
Found items should be turned into stadium security.Please check the university's lost and found the next business day by calling 410-704-4636.

Lost Children and Guests
Lost children and guests should be taken to any police,security or game-day personnel for assistance.

Merchandise
The University Team Store offers various Towson athletic apparel and is located on the concourse behind section 111. The store opens 90 minutes prior to kickoff and closes at the end of the game.

Restrooms
Restrooms are located throughout the Johnny Unitas Stadium concourse behind sections 101 & 102, 106 & 107, 109, 113, as well as the southeast corner of the stadium above the Towson Wall of Excellence.

Solicitation/Literature
Resale of tickets, setting up a promotional space and/or distributing banners, booklets, business cards, circulars, commercial advertising, flyers, folders, handbills, leaflets, notices, pamphlets, petitions, posters, stickers, or any other written, printed and/or painted materials in or around Johnny Unitas Stadium or SECU Arena without the permission of the Towson University Department of Event and Conference Services is prohibited.

Stadium Policies
Re-entry into the stadium is prohibited. Any ticket holder that has left the stadium and would like to re-enter will be required to purchase another ticket.For the safety of our guests and employees, the following items are prohibited.

Please Note: Metal-detector wands will be used at ALL entrance gates to Johnny Unitas Stadium. Please allow for extra time to enter prior to the game.

The following restrictions apply. Failure to comply could result in removal from the venue:

  • Alcohol
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Audio Recording Equipment
  • Bags/Purses larger than 14" x 11" x 4", Bota Bags or Wine Skins, Flasks
  • Beverages
  • Bicycles, Hoverboards, Segways or other motorized scooters, skateboards and roller blades
  • Cameras (still) with lenses greater than 8" (along with monopods, dual pods and tripods)
  • Containers (common examples include, but are not limited to: hard sided coolers, soft pack coolers, ice chests, picnic baskets, cans, bottles, flasks, thermoses)
  • Confetti, Streamers, Glitter and Balloons
  • Drones or other Flying Devices
  • Food (persons with small children or medical infirmities may be exempt)
  • Illegal Drugs
  • Laser Pointers
  • Markers, Paint and Dry Erase Boards
  • Noisemaking Devices (common examples include, but are not limited to: whistles, air horns, bull horns, blow horns, musical instruments, kazoos, bugles, cow bells, thunder sticks, sirens, and boom boxes) - Excluding all marketing giveaways
  • Sticks or Poles, including Selfie-Sticks
  • Sports Equipment (common examples include, but are not limited to: beach balls, footballs, baseballs, lacrosse balls, etc.)
  • Open Umbrellas
  • Video Recording Equipment
  • Weapons (common examples include, but are not limited to: aerosol cans, mace, pepper spray, firearms, including CCW permit holders, fireworks, pocket knives, knives, spiked bracelets, brass knuckles, martial arts weapons, stun guns, super soakers and chains)

Items not on this list and any variances thereof are subject to venue management discretion including actions deemed to be dangerous or inappropriate. These include: trespassing, soliciting, peddling, loitering and fighting.

Additionally, illegal drugs, weapons, laser pointers, grills, and cameras requiring the use of special lighting or support rods are also not permitted.

Guests are encouraged to return prohibited items to their vehicles. Towson University cannot safeguard items which are not permitted into the facility. Violators of the above rules or any other state or city laws will be removed from the venue or denied admission. In the event of inclement weather, please listen for the public address announcement regarding the proper evacuation procedure.

Guests are not allowed to reproduce or re-broadcast any film or events without the expressed written consent of Towson University athletics or the NCAA.

Standing on Seats/Bleachers
Anyone found standing on a seat or bleacher will be ejected, without warning. The University has suffered property damage in the past. Root hard, conduct good sportsmanship, and keep your feet on the ground.

Strollers
Strollers are permitted inside Johnny Unitas Stadium, however, must be stored in designated areas. There will be claim checks at both the North and South gates of Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Ticket Information
All fans entering Johnny Unitas Stadium must have a ticket, except for fans under 2 years of age who must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. General Will Call is located on the north side of the stadium outside of Gate D. Player Will Call is located outside of Gate A. Tickets are available for purchase at the main ticket office located outside Gate D, as well as and additional ticket office located outside of Gate B. Will call and ticket offices open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Call 1-855-TU-TIGER with any questions or for more information.

Thrown Items
Cans, bottles, beach balls or any items that may be deemed as a projectile are not permitted into Johnny Unitas Stadium. Violators will be subject to immediate ejection and prosecution.

Umbrellas
Umbrellas are permitted into Johnny Unitas Stadium, however, may not be opened to ensure the safety and enjoyment of other fans. Rain ponchos are suggested for inclement weather.

Directions

From Washington, D.C., Richmond:
Proceed on I-95 North to the Baltimore Beltway, I-695. Exit left (exit is on left) on to I-695 towards Towson to Charles Street (Exit 25 off I-695). Bear right on to Charles Street coming off the ramp. Follow Charles Street south for 1.5 miles (from first traffic light) to Towsontown Boulevard. Turn left at the traffic signal (you can't turn right because Towsontown dead ends into Charles St). Proceed on Towsontown Boulevard seven tenths of a mile. Turn right on to Osler Drive (second traffic light) and proceed one-half mile to Auburn Drive. Take a right onto Auburn Drive.

From Baltimore-Washington International Airport:
Exit the airport via I-195. Follow the signs for the Baltimore Beltway, I-695 to Towson. Proceed on I-695 to Charles Street (Exit 25 off I-695). Bear right off the ramp on to Charles Street. Follow Charles St. south for 1.5 miles (from first traffic light) to Towsontown Boulevard. Turn left at the traffic signal (you can't turn right because Towsontown dead ends into Charles St). From Upstate New York and Eastern Pennsylvania:

Family Zone

The Towson Football Family Zone will be located on the track at Johnny Unitas Stadium on the east end zone. Activities include a moon bounce, face painting, photo opportunities with Doc the Tiger, as well as a fun, alcohol-free zone for families of all ages.

Parking

Above is the 2016 Towson University Football Parking Map. Please note changes for 2016: Permit parking (season ticket holders) are now located in lot 21 and 21a.
General parking is FREE on a first-come-first-served basis for lots 13 and 14.

  • All lots around the stadium (13, 14, 19, 20, 21 7 21a) will close 6 hours before game time (the evening before for Homecoming) and open 4 hours prior to game time for fan parking. Unauthorized vehicles remaining in the area are subject to citations and towing at the owners expense.
  • Game Day Parking permits will be required to park in Lots 19, 20 and 21.
  • Lots 13, 14 and all core campus garages and non-resident lots will be available for General Parking 4 hours prior to game time. No permit is required for these areas. Parking will be provided on a first come first serve basis. Once the general parking in lots 13 & 14 near the stadium fill, general parkers will be redirected to the Union or Glen garage.
  • Tents
    • Due to safety concerns, no tents are allowed in lot 14
    • Tents are permitted in other areas as outlined in the tailgating policies. Tents must be secured with weighting system ( no stakes) and can't be placed in a parking space or block traffic flow in drive lanes.
  • Tailgating will be allowed in designated areas only and must be in accordance with established tailgating policies. No tailgating is permitted in any garages.

Students

Towson students receive free admission to football games and must enter at Gate C on the north side of Johnny Unitas Stadium. Students will need to present their OneCard when entering and all OneCards will be run through a ticket scanner to verify admission.Only valid and activeOneCards are accepted. Students can use meal points at the concession stands within Johnny Unitas Stadium, however, meal equivalency use will not be allowed.


Tailgating Policies

Parking lots will open four hours before kickoff. Towson University encourages safe and responsible socializing for those students, alumni and fans who attend TU athletic events. Tailgating is permitted in parking lots 12, 13, 14, 20, 21 and should be limited to the area directly in front of or behind your vehicle. Tailgating should not impede vehicle or foot traffic. Please adhere to the following safety rules while tailgating; keep hot grills 5-10 feet away from vehicles, trees and branches; underage drinking is not permitted, drinking games or use of alcohol-related paraphernalia is not allowed. Tailgating is permitted up to four hours before game time and will conclude at kickoff. Fans will be allowed to resume tailgating following the game for up to one-and-a-half hours after the game has ended. Tents without sides and no larger than 10 x 10 feet are permitted; Tents are not permitted in lot 14. Tents cannot interfere with vehicular traffic nor occupy a space reserved for another vehicle. Only personal hand held music and/or sound devices/systems are permitted. Vehicle enhanced sound systems and free standing speakers are prohibited. Bill Bateman's Bistro Tailgate in Lots 13 and 21 open three hours prior to kickoff. Food and beer specials go up until game time and ALL Tiger Fans are welcome, 21 and over with proper ID to drink.

During the game, the Greene Turtle will be hosting fans in the east end zone of the track in the Greene Turtle Tent. The tent will open 45 minutes prior to kickoff and close at the end of the game. Food and beer special will be served throughout the game. ALL Tiger Fans are welcome, 21 and over with proper ID to drink.

Watch Pregame Warm Ups from Sideline
Want the game day experience of a coach or player? Enjoy watching your Towson Tigers warm-up on the field as they prepare for the game. A minimum of 50 tickets must be purchased in order to participate.
Pregame Fan Tunnel
Be there on the field to support your Towson Tigers has they take the field. A minimum of 40 tickets is required to participate.
Meet the Tigers Postgame
Autograph Session: Stay after the game to meet your Towson Tigers! You'll have the opportunity to chat with players and get their autographs. Four players will be selected to sign autographs. Ticket minimum is 50 tickets.
