Mary Elle Arduino had a historic weekend as the Tigers were in action twice.

She won the balance beam individual title on Friday with a career-high score of 9.875. Arduino also tied her career-high on bars (9.700) on Friday to help the Tigers finish third in their annual Pink Quad Meet.

On Sunday, the Tigers traveled to George Washington for a quad meet where Arduino posted the best performance of her career. She recorded a 9.925 on the balance beam to tie for first-place on the event, not only setting a career-high but matching the Towson program record for the event. She became just the third Tiger in program history and first since 2009 to earn a 9.925 on balance beam. Arduino also matched her career-high on bars with a 9.700 score as the Tigers finished in fourth-place overall.

She is currently tied for fourth among the league gymnasts for balance beam with a season-average of 9.819 on the event. Her season-average leads all East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) freshmen.
