Towson University Athletics and the Tiger Athletic Fund are unveiling a new way to thank Tiger supporters through the creation of the Black & Gold Society. This new giving society is comprised of six different categories that recognize donors for their lifetime giving, consecutive years of philanthropy and those who make Towson Athletics part of their planned giving. Lifetime milestones will be recognized at $25,000, $100,000, $250,000 and $500,000. Donors will also be celebrated for their loyalty after five consecutive years of giving.
Until now, the Tiger Athletic Fund has primarily focused on thanking donors for current year contributions and gifts tied to the annual fund. The Black & Gold Society provides the opportunity to thank people who have given to our program and make a way for longevity to be recognized.
DOC MINNEGAN
$500,000 +
6 Members
Doc Minnegan is the highest level of recognition within the Towson Athletics Black & Gold Society. This level is dedicated to supporters who give over $500k cumulative to athletics over their lifetime.
AUBURN
$250,000 +
5 Members
Donors who have given over $250k cumulative to Towson Athletics over their lifetime will be recognized at the Auburn level.

$100,000 +
19 Members
Towson Athletics supporters who have made over $100k in cumulative donations to Towson Athletics will be part of the 1866 level.
CHESAPEAKE
$25,000 +
94 Members
Donors who have generously made their way to $25k in lifetime support to Towson Athletics will be initially recognized at the Chesapeake level.
LOYALTY
174 Members
Loyalty is dedicated to those who may not yet be part of our lifetime giving recognition levels, but have shown their support to Towson Athletics by giving for at least five consecutive years.
LEGACY
10 Members
Legacy was created to thank those who have made Towson Athletics part of their planned giving. We recognize and appreciate what an honor it is to be part of your legacy.

What are the benefits of being in the Black & Gold Society?
There are no stated benefits. You will be recognized for what you have given, but this is not transactional. There will be events and unique opportunities for each of the levels within the Black & Gold Society, but they will happen as the opportunity arises and not on a set schedule.
How long will I be in the Black & Gold Society?
Once you have achieved lifetime giving of $25,000 or made Towson Athletics part of your planned giving, you are in the Black & Gold Society for life, even if you never make another gift to Towson Athletics. These recognition levels are intended to thank you for what you have done. The only level where one can lose status is LOYALTY should you lapse after five consecutive years of giving.
