In the men’s lacrosse season opener, Tyler Canto backstopped the Tigers to an impressive 17-8 win over then-No. 7 Johns Hopkins. Canto made 10 saves in the first outing of his career, backing Towson to its biggest margin over victory over the Blue Jays in series history. Canto was pivotal to the Tigers holding Johns Hopkins off the board for the entire second quarter and made seven saves during Towson’s 13-1 run.
