Javon Fields earned three multi-hit days during the week, including an RBI triple in a 2-for-3 performance against N.C. State, then the No. 1 ranked team in the country. In the five games, the freshman center fielder hit .412, including a .524 on-base percentage, with three extra-base hits and three runs. He currently leads the team with a .315 batting average, 11 runs, five doubles and five stolen bases.
