Towson softball freshman Brook Miko earned Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week honors after her performance at the Hampton Inn Invitational helped the Tigers start their season undefeated.

Miko started at shortstop in all three of the Tigers' games at the Hampton Inn Invitational this past weekend. She scored four runs, recorded six hits and had seven RBIs over the weekend. She leads the Tigers in hits and RBIs, along with doubles (three) and at-bats (13).
 
In her collegiate debut against Campbell, Miko scored her first career run and went two-for-five at the plate. She added three runs batted in and a stolen base against the Camels.
 
In the win over Youngstown State, Miko tallied three hits in five at-bats. Two of her base knocks were doubles. She played a hand in five of the games nine runs, diving in three and scoring two.
 
Miko had a double and a sacrifice fly in three plate appearances against St. John's. She scored her fourth run of the weekend against the Red Storm.
