Tigers Fall 3-0 at James Madison

HARRISONBURG, Va. ? Despite 14 digs from senior Kristina Shannon, the Towson volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at James Madison on Saturday night in Colonial Athletic Association action. The Tigers (15-8, 4-3 CAA) hit just .081 in the match.

James Madison hit .306 to the Tigers' .051 in the first set and claimed a 25-16 victory. The Dukes increased their lead with a 25-19 win in set two. James Madison clinched the match with a 25-19 win in set three.

In addition to Shannon's digs, the Tigers received nine kills from senior Maddie Haseltine. Sophomore Katee Luecke had 23 assists while junior Missy Rohrbaugh contributed nine digs. Senior Ally Perko finished with six kills and now needs just 25 more kills to reach 1,000 for her career.

James Madison was led by Michelle Johnson who had 11 kills while Lauren Miles added 33 assists and nine digs for the match. Sofia Lindroth led all players with 16 digs while Lindsay Callahan contributed 10 kills.

Towson returns home on Friday, October 24 after playing four straight matches on the road. The Tigers will play host to Georgia State at 7 p.m.
