William & Mary Spoils Perko Milestone in Four-Set Decision

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Senior outside hitter Ally Perko reached the 1,000-kill plateau for her career, but host William & Mary spoiled the occasion by handing the Tigers a four-set loss in a Colonial Athletic Association match on Friday evening. The loss snapped the Tigers' two-match losing streak.

The Tribe won the match by scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-20 and 25-19, improving their record to 17-5 overall and 7-2 in the CAA. Meanwhile, the Tigers fall to 17-9 overall and 6-4 in the CAA.

Perko, who ended the match with a team-high 13 kills, became the 12th player in Towson history to record 1,000 career kills and now has 1,004 kills in her college career. She also had 13 digs and four blocks for the Tigers.

Erin Skipper led the Tribe to the victory with a match-high 21 kills while Lauren Powell and Ginny Bray added 12 kills and 10 kills, respectively.

Senior outside hitter Maddie Haseltine added 10 kills for the Tigers in a losing effort while junior setter Katee Luecke tallied a "double double" with 40 assists and 18 digs. Kristina Shannon also contributed 12 digs for the Tigers.

Setter Kim Mount contributed a "double double" for the Tribe with a 50-assist, 18-dig performance.
