GREENVILLE, N.C. - Despite a strong effort from sophomore Wesley Foltz, the Tigers dropped a tough 199-88 decision at East Carolina University on Saturday afternoon.
Foltz finished first in the 200-yard individual medley and also placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:56.31.
"It was a tough loss against a team that definitely outmatched us," Towson Coach Pat Mead said. "Our 400-yard free relay team had a strong effort and Wes did a great job with some outstanding swims today."
Senior Drew Pallace placed third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.02 seconds while freshmen Ryan Westhafer and Colin Bond followed Foltz in the 200-yard individual medley by placing second and third, respectively.
Pallace also helped the Tigers finish first in the 400-yard freestyle relay by swimming the lead leg. The Tigers finished with a time of 3:11.63 in the event.
Senior Zachary Wolfe had a solid meet for the Tigers. He finished first in the one-meter diving event by scoring 237.85 points while placing second in the three-meter diving event with a score of 231.65 points.
The Tigers will be idle until November 6 when they compete in a CAA Pod Meet against Delaware, George Mason and UNC Wilmington.
