PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Senior goalkeeper Nicole Sinclair made five saves to earn her first shutout of the season as Drexel University (7-9-1, 3-5-1) earned its third win in the last four games with a 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association victory over the Tigers (6-9-3, 2-6-1) at Vidas Field on Friday evening.
The Dragons took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half when junior forward Jenna Lindsay scored her fourth goal of the season off an assist from freshman defender Sam Greenfield.
With 9:03 remaining in the second half, the Dragons upped their advantage to 2-0 with an own goal past junior goalkeeper Jocelyn Papciak.
Papciak made eight saves in a losing effort for the Tigers, who outshot Drexel by a 14-12 margin.
The Tigers will play their final road game of the season on Sunday afternoon when they travel to the University of Delaware for a 1 p.m. game against the Blue Hens.
