Johns Hopkins Defeats Tigers, 161-98

BALTIMORE, Md. – Despite a pair of first place finishes by junior Wesley Foltz, the Tigers dropped a 161-98 non-conference decision against Johns Hopkins University at the Blue Jays' Newton White Athletic Center on Friday afternoon.

Foltz won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:55.09 before taking first place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:56.15. He also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:48.56.

Freshman Jacob Huston finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.96 seconds while sophomore Joe Mills won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:57.63. Mills also won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:05.06 while Huston was second (2:07.44).

Junior Jim Buck took third place in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:07.60 while junior Zac Jelinek was third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.81 along with a third place effort in the 50-yard freestyle (22.34). 

Sophomore Zack Stone finished third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.90 seconds.

The Tigers also placed second and third in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Tigers will finish the regular season on Saturday afternoon when they host George Washington and Howard at 1 p.m. at Burdick Pool.
