TOWSON, Md. – Junior Wesley Foltz won three individual events to lead the Tigers to a sweep of a double dual meet over George Washington University and Howard University in the regular season finale at Burdick Pool on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers defeated the Bison by a 193-61 margin while handing George Washington a 143-114 loss. The Colonials earned a 151-86 victory over Howard.
In addition, the Tigers earned their first dual meet wins since the 2008 season opener when they defeated the Bison by a 151-98 verdict, snapping a 34-meet losing streak.
Foltz finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:51.08 before taking first place in the 200-yard butterfly by completing the event in 1 minute, 54.91 seconds. He also won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:46.26.
Freshman Jacob Huston took first place in the 100-yard breaststroke by touching the wall in 58.97 seconds before winning the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:12.00.
Sophomore Zack Stone won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.23 seconds while junior Zac Jelinek won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 47.64 seconds.
The Tigers will be idle until late February when they compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Championships at George Mason University.
