BALTIMORE, Md. – Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards has announced
that the museum is hosting a “Meet the Mascots” program on Saturday, February 25 at 1:00
p.m.
The family-oriented event will feature a “behind the mask” discussion from
popular local mascots, including Doc the Tiger, Poe
(Baltimore Ravens) and the Baltimore Oriole Bird.
The program will highlight the art of being a mascot along with the
rewards and the hazards of the job and the extensive training involved.
Following the program, fans will have a chance to meet and greet all of their
local favorite friends, including Doc, Louie from
Bowie (Bowie BaySox), True Grit (UMBC Retriever), The Eagle (Coppin State), and Testudo (University of Maryland) and Wild Stang (Stevenson University).
Attendees are encouraged
to bring their cameras as all of the mascots will be available for pictures
following the program.
The program is free with the price of admission to Sports Legends
Museum, which offers an interactive “Kids Discovery Zone” where youth can try
on sports uniforms from various Maryland teams including the Baltimore Ravens,
Maryland Terrapins, Baltimore Orioles, Johns Hopkins University lacrosse, and
much more.
