TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University Aluimni Association gifted a new bronze Tiger statue to the University community Tuesday at the recently built main gateway off Osler Drive and near Burdick Hall.

The statue, weighing 700 pounds, is the second of its kind gifted to the University by Towson's Alumni Association. The group also gifted a Tiger statue near Stephens Hall.

A large contingent of the school's community was in attendance, including senior members of the Department of Athletics.

Those in attendance were greeted with opening remarks by Towson University President Maravene Loeschke and Alumni Association President Lou Dollenger. Students and faculty then posed for pictures at the new landmark.
