NORFOLK, Va. - After defeating Bucknell in its last match by a 6-1 score, the Towson women's tennis team was upended at Old Dominion on Saturday by a 4-0 score. The teams did not finish the match after Old Dominion won the decisive fourth point.
"It was a tough match against a very good Monarch team that came to play today," Towson head coach Doug Neagle said.
After winning all three doubles matches to start with the decisive doubles point, Old Dominion's Diana Ivanova, Nikol Hristova and Melissa Esnal Olguin all came away with singles victories against the Tigers (9-7, 1-3 CAA). The victories for the Monarchs all came in straight sets, including Ivanova's defeat of Towson's Ayana Dow 6-0 and 6-0.
The Tigers will face Norfolk State tomorrow at 10 a.m.
