TOWSON, Md. – Towson fell victim to an early Hofstra goal as the Pride earned a 3-0 win over the Tigers Sunday afternoon in Hempstead, N.Y. in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament quarterfinals.
Towson (6-9-4) played in its first CAA tournament game in program history on Sunday. Senior goalkeeper

Katie Ponce finished tied for 15
th with 28 career points (12g, 4a, 28pts).
Hofstra (12-6-1) got on the board first, just 2:14 into the match when Lulu Echeverry sent a cross in and Leah Galton headed it over Quinn. The Tigers regrouped and started pressing offensively, and the game turned into a back-and-forth affair for the rest of the first half.
However, Galton scored two goals in less than two minutes at the start of the second half to give the Pride an insurmountable lead. Read led the Tigers with three shots. Freshman
Maddie Bove contributed two shots. Quinn had five saves for Towson.
