Story Lines
Towson heads to West Long Branch, New Jersey for three games in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.

Of the four teams, Central Connecticut State, Bethune-Cookman and Monmouth, the Tigers are the only team to earn a victory over a Division I opponent.  BCU defeated Division III Trinity College.

CCSU has dropped games at Fairfield and Maryland.

Bethune-Cookman fell on the road at Arizona State after earning a non-division I win in the opener.

Monmouth has only played one game this season, losing at West Virginia.

The Tigers scratched out a 51-46 victory over Morgan State on Monday.

The 51 points tied for the second-most in a victory since the Tigers joined Division I in 1979.  It is also the 14th time they held an opponent under 50 points in a win since 1979.

Four McGlynn scored all 13 of his points in the second half to lead the Tigers.  He was 8-for-8 from the line, including 6-for-6 in the game's final four minutes.

First 5 on the Road
For just the third time in school history, Towson will open the season with five-straight games away from home.  The Tigers will play three true road games and a pair of neutral-site games.   The Tigers opened the 1993-94 season with five games away from home.  Four of the games were on the road, and one was a neutral site. Towson played its longest stretch away from home to start a season in 2012-13, when the Tigers played their first 10 games of the season away from home.  Seven of the 10 games were road contests, while three were neutral site games in Richmond, Ky.

vs. Central Connecticut State
The Tigers and Blue Devils have met four times prior with Towson holding a 4-0 series advantage.  The teams played a home-and-home series in both the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons.

vs. Bethune-Cookman
The two teams are meeting for the second time on the hardwood.  The only other meeting happened Jan. 9, 1974 with BCU winning 90-72 in Orlando, Florida.  The Wildcats later forfeited the victory.

vs. Monmouth
The Tigers won the only other meeting between the two schools, 76-59, in 1983.  The game was played in the Towson Center.

Two Sports vs. the Blue Devils
Friday's game against Central Connecticut State will mark the second time the two schools will play this season.  The two schools met on Aug. 30 in football.  CCSU walked away with a 31-27 victory.
