Story Lines
Towson will try to put an end to a four-game losing streak as they welcome Fairleigh Dickinson to SECU Arena.

The teams are meeting for the fourth time on the hardwood, and the first time since 1982.  FDU holds a 2-1 advantage in the series, with a 98-85 victory at home in the last meeting.

The contest marks the second game this season against a team from the Northeast Conference.  Earlier this season, the Tigers defeated  Central Connecticut State, 58-49, in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at Monmouth.

The Tigers are 2-1 under head coach Pat Skerry in their first game after Christmas.  They have won each of the last games, at Oregon State in 2012, and against New Hampshire in 2013.

The Tigers 7-5 record through 12 games is the identical record the team had in 2013-14.  That team went on to set a Division I record for wins with 25.

Freshman guard Byron Hawkins had a career day against Navy as he scored 23 points and pulled down five rebounds.

The two teams are meeting for the fourth time on the hardwood with the Knights holding a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series.  The teams have not met since Feb. 19, 1982, when FDU won 98-85 in Hackensack, N.J.

vs. the Northeastern Conference
The Tigers are 37-39 against current members of the Northeast Conference.  This will be the second game this season against a team from the NEC.  Towson defeated Central Connecticut State, 58-49, in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic earlier this season.

Rare Home Loss
The Tigers suffered a rare home loss to La Salle at SECU arena.  It was just the second loss in the new arena.  Towson is now 17-2 in SECU Arena.

Returning From Break
Towson is 2-1 in the Pat Skerry era when returning from the Christmas holiday.  The Tigers have won each of the last two seasons in the first game back from break.

First-Half Shooting
The Tigers have struggled offensively in the first half during their four game losing streak.  They are just 25-for-100 (.250) in the game's opening period.  Towson went 5-of-21 (.231) against Georgetown, 7-of-30 (.233) against Temple, 6-of-24 (.250) against La Salle and 7-of-25 (.280) against Navy.

Hawkins' Breakout Game
Freshman Byron Hawkins had a breakout game against Navy.  He scored a career-best 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the free throw line.  He also pulled down a season-high five rebounds and did not turn the ball over.  It was just his second double-figure scoring game of his career.
