TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's swimming and diving program welcomes Johns Hopkins to Burdick Pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday for the Tigers' final dual and home meet of the season.

"Our men should have a good opportunity to finish out the season with a victory against a very strong team," Head Coach
Pat Mead said. "I am excited for our senior men to finish another great dual meet season. They have worked hard to rebuild our men's tradition."

The Tigers (7-1, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association) defeated conference rival Delaware last weekend 178-120. Towson got off to a strong start, grabbing wins in the first three events over the Blue Hens. They captured victories in eight more events to finish the day with 11 wins out of the 16 possible.

Matt McKenney earned four wins to lead the Tiger effort. He was named CAA Swimmer of the Week for his performance against the Blue Hens. He won the 100-yard butterfly in 49.95 and finished the 200-yard butterfly in 1:51.17.

McKenney combined with
Nick Breschi,
John Gartland and
Matt Hans for a time of 1:33.86 in their winning 200-yard medley relay. McKenney's fourth victory of the meet came in the 400-yard freestyle relay when he partnered with Breschi,
Zach Brech and
Sawyer Martin for a time of 3:08.33.

Gartland grabbed his second win of the day in the 100-yard breaststroke (58.14), an event the Tigers finished one, two and three in.

Hans finished the 50-yard freestyle in 21:09 to win the event and finish the meet with multiple victories.

Matt Lowe had a successful day, becoming the fifth Tiger to record multiple victories in the meet. He swam 4:36.29 in the 500-yard freestyle and 9:31.10 in the 1000-yard freestyle.

Towson travels to Bucknell on Saturday, Jan. 31 for the Bison Invite featuring Army, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
