TOWSON, Md. – The Towson men's swimming and diving program continues its dual meet season at Georgetown on Saturday, Oct. 17. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the Albert G. McCarthy, Jr. Pool. Diving events will take place at 11 a.m.
Towson enters the meet ranked 19th in CollegeSwimming.com's Division I Team Power Rankings. The Tigers earned the third ranking in the Mid-Major Rankings, behind Navy and Air Force.
This will be the Tigers' second time swimming against the Hoyas this season. The two teams saw each other at the Potomac Relays with the Tigers placing second and the Hoyas following third out of four teams.
Towson is coming off a dual meet loss to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival William & Mary (161-101) last weekend. The Tigers won four events and had 20 top-three event finishes against the Tribe.
Senior
Matt Hans (50-yard freestyle), junior
Tim Schade (1000-yard freestyle) and freshmen
Jack Saunderson (200-yard butterfly) and
Will Dougherty (500-yard freestyle) all earned event victories.
Towson continues its dual meet season at George Mason with CAA foe Drexel in a two-day meet from Oct. 30-31.
