PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Towson field hockey team fell to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival Drexel 1-0 on Sunday in its season finale. The Tigers kept the Dragons to one goal, the fewest goals allowed by Towson in nine games.

HOW IT HAPPENED- Both teams were held scoreless for the first 51 minutes.
- Towson had scoring opportunities in the first half from juniors Morgan Skavdahl and Allie Stauffer but both Tigers were denied by Drexel goalkeeper Ainslie Rhoads.
- The Dragons outshot the Tigers 7-2 in the first half and held a 3-1 advantage in penalty corner opportunities. Towson goalkeeper Emilee Woodall made four first-half saves.
- Drexel got on the board in the 51st minute as Alison McCardell got the rebound after a shot from outside the circle and put the ball past Woodall.
- Towson had its best opportunity of the second-half as sophomore Taylor Kvilhaug was awarded a penalty stroke in the 67th minute but her attempt was stopped by Rhoads.
- The Tigers recorded six shots in the second-half but were unable to score. Drexel ended the game with a 24-8 advantage in shots. The Dragons held a 9-3 advantage in penalty corner opportunities but neither team converted on any chances.
- Woodall made five second-half saves for a game total of nine. Rhoads was forced to make a total of five saves to earn the win.
- Senior Stacey Mackintosh had a team-best three shots for the Tigers.
