DOVER, Del. – Twelve players recorded at least one kill as the Towson University volleyball team closed out the regular season with a 3-1 win at Delaware State on Sunday. Freshman

HOW IT HAPPENED- Towson trailed 10-9 before the Tigers used a 6-2 lead to take a 15-12 lead. Kuilan had a pair of kills during that run. Following a Delaware State timeout, the two teams traded points before the Tigers used back-to-back kills from junior Jessica Lewis and redshirt junior Candace Steadman and took a 19-15 advantage. A kill from Steadman closed out a 25-19 first set win for the Tigers.
- Towson hit .394 in the set while holding Delaware State to a .240 clip. Steadman had five kills while hitting .833 in the set.
- With the two teams tied at 8-8 in the second set, Towson used a 6-0 run to take a 14-8 advantage. Kuilan had three kills while redshirt senior Aimee Schubert added a service ace during that stretch. Towson extended its lead to 18-15 on a kill from freshman Carola Biver. A kill from sophomore Payton Windell gave the Tigers a 21-16 lead. An attack error by the Hornets gave Towson a 25-17 set win and a 2-0 lead in the match.
- Towson hit .344 in the set while Delaware State posted a .192 hitting percentage. Kuilan had six kills in the set while Biver had two assists, four digs and a kill.
- A kill from Jasmine Jackson helped Delaware State open up a 15-8 lead in the third set. An attack error by the Tigers extended the Hornets lead to 18-10 in the set. A kill from Danyelle Tucker made it 20-12 in favor of the home team. Towson scored six of the next eight points and pulled to within four, 22-18. Junior Lindsay Flaherty had a kill and a pair of block assists during that run. Back-to-back attack errors by the Tigers gave Delaware State a 25-18 set win and forced the match to a fourth set.
- Delaware State hit .379 in the set while holding the Tigers to a .212 clip. Jackson and Tucker each had three kills in the set for the Hornets. Lewis and Biver each had three kills for the Tigers.
- A pair of service aces from Lewis sandwiched around a pair of kills from Steadman helped the Tigers open up a 10-7 lead in the fourth. A kill from Flaherty extended the Towson lead to 18-11 in the set. A kill from Kuilan gave Towson a 23-17 advantage. A kill from Pa'akaula gave Towson a 25-19 set win and victory in the match.
- Towson hit .269 in the set while Delaware State posted a .000 hitting percentage. Flaherty and Pa'akaula each had four kills in the set.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE- Towson's 26 wins are the seventh most in single-season history at Towson.
- Kuilan led the Tigers with 14 kills, five digs and five blocks while Steadman contributed 10 kills and two blocks.
- Flaherty tied Kuilan with a team-high five blocks. Flaherty went over 100 blocks for the season, she has now recorded over 100 blocks in each of her three seasons.
- Biver had a team-high seven digs.
The Tigers are back in action when the CAA Tournament begins on Friday, Nov. 20 at No. 1 seed James Madison. The Tigers who shared the regular season title but lost the tiebreaker will be the number two seed and receive a bye on the first day of action. Towson will be in action on Saturday, Nov. 21.
