TEANECK, N.J. – Despite a perfect shooting performance from the field by
Byron Hawkins, the Towson University men's basketball team dropped a 69-68 decision to Fairleigh Dickinson in a non-conference contest at Stratis Arena.

The Knights scored the final six points of the contest, including Marques Townes' decisive basket with 5.8 seconds remaining, to end Towson's six-game winning streak. Towson dropped to 7-4 while FDU improved to 4-6.

- The Tigers turned the ball over twice in the final 58 seconds.
- Mike Morsell scored five of his seven points during an 8-0 flurry that gave Towson its largest lead of the game, 65-57 with 3:54 remaining.
- Towson led the entire second half until the final 5.8 seconds.
- There were seven ties and five lead changes.
- John Davis and Hawkins combined to score 12 of Towson's first 14 points.
- Helped by making their first four 3-pointers, the Tigers held their biggest lead of the first half, 25-17, with 7:25 remaining.
