Story Lines
Towson makes the short trip to Baltimore for the 2015 CAA Tournament at Royal Farms Arena.

The Tigers will open the CAA Tournament March 6 against Elon.  Tip time is set for 6 p.m.

The winner of the Elon-Towson game will return to the court March 7 at noon to take on No. 1 seed William & Mary.

Towson won both regular-season meetings against Elon.  The Tigers won, 57-53, Jan. 5 at SECU Arena.  Towson defeated the Phoenix, 53-51, Jan. 22 at Alumni Gym.

The Tigers are 7-12 all-time in the CAA Tournament since joining the league in 2001-02.

Towson are 5-2 in their last seven CAA Tournament openers.

The Tigers are entering the tournament as the No. 9 seed for the third time.  In each of the first two times, Towson won their opening-round game.

Towson is 2-0 this season in neutral-site games.  The Tigers won against Central Connecticut State and Bethune-Cookman at Monmouth in November.


CAA Tournament
Towson begins its quest for the CAA Tournament championship by playing Elon March 6 at 6 p.m.  The winner of the game will advance to face William & Mary March 7 at 12 p.m.

On the Air
Friday's game can be heard live on CBS Sports Radio 1300.  Spiro Morekas will provide the play-by-play.  The Tigers Saturday afternoon game will be carried on 106.1 FM.

CAA Tournament in Baltimore
This season marks the second year of a three-year deal to have the CAA Tournament at Royal Farms Arena in downtown Baltimore.

Towson as #9 Seed
Towson is entering the tournament as the No. 9 seed for the third time.  In each of the first two times, the Tigers have won their first game.  Towson defeated Hofstra, 81-66, in 2008, and William & Mary, 70-65, in 2004.

Neutral Site Games
The Tigers have played a pair of neutral site games this season.  Towson has come away victorious in both of those contests.  They defeated Central Connecticut State, 58-49, and Bethune-Cookman, 63-42, in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at Monmouth in November.

Playing Four-Straight Days
In order for Towson to win the CAA championship, they Tigers will need to win four-straight days.  Earlier this season, the Tigers won games on three-straight days in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.

Tough Battles With Elon
The Tigers and Phoenix were locked in a pair of defensive battles this season.  Towson won both meetings by a combined seven points.  The Tigers won 57-53 at SECU Arena, and 53-51 at Alumni Gym.

Facing William & Mary
A victory over Elon will advance the Tigers into a matchup with No. 1 seed William & Mary.  The Tribe are the only team to defeat the Tigers by double digits in both meetings this season.
