How It Happened- Temple (1-1) scored twice in the first six minutes of the game to take a 2-0 lead over Towson (0-2). A successful penalty corner allowed the Owls' Tricia Light to knock a rebound past Woodall. Temple's Paige Gross scored a short 25 seconds later on a rebound from Sarah Deck.
- The Owls converted another penalty corner 14:32 into the game as Deck deflected the ball in unassisted.
- A defensive save by McKay denied Temple's Sarah Keer of a scoring chance with 15 minutes remaining in the first half.
- Another effective penalty corner, this time by Katie Foran, gave Temple a 4-0 lead going into halftime.
- Temple outshot Towson 20-1 in the first half and converted three of the Owls' eight penalty corners opportunities. Woodall recorded seven saves for the Tiger squad in the first half.
- Senior Heather Jenney had the Tigers' best scoring chance of the first half as she forced Temple's Haley Mitchell to make a save at the 18 minute mark.
- The Tigers had another scoring chance four minutes into the second half on a penalty corner but Stacey Mackintosh hit the pass from Sam Zelenack up over the goal. Â Â
- The Owls scored three quick goals in a nine minute span to start off the second half. Deck scored her second goal on a penalty corner with Light and Rachael Mueller earning the assists.
- Boyle took over in goal for the Tigers in relief action at the 45 minute mark.
- Another scoring chance arose for the Tigers in the 53rd minute as Natalie Hack used a penalty corner to pass to freshman Katie McNeel who sent the shot high.
- Temple added three goals late in the second half to earn a 9-0 win over the Tigers.
- Jenney had the Tigers' final scoring chance of the game at the 62nd minute mark but was denied by goalkeeper Chloe Johnson who came in on relief action for the Owls.
- Boyle recorded seven saves in the second half as the Tigers posted a combined effort of 15 saves.
- Nine player cards were handed out throughout the game including six to Towson players.

The Tigers host Saint Francis in their home opener on Friday, September 4 at 6 p.m. Friday's game will be the Gold Rush game and fans are encouraged to wear gold in support of the Tiger squad.
