Jocelyn Kuilan leads the squad on the season with 211 kills, a .333 hitting percentage, 21 service aces and 41 digs. Senior
Haley Pa'akaula is second on the squad with 193 kills and 174 digs. Schubert and fellow senior
Kyana Miller have split setting duties and have recorded 411 and 295 assists respectively. Redshirt freshman
Anna Holehouse anchors the defensive efforts with 265 digs while junior
Lindsay Flaherty has 45 blocks.
Scouting the Opponent: Delaware had a four-match win streak snapped with a 3-0 loss to James Madison on Friday evening.
Ariel Shonk, who was named CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week, leads the Blue Hens with 283 digs and 17 service aces.
Autumn Jenkins has posted a team-high 148 kills and 147 digs while
Julia Anderson has dished out 491 assists.
Series History: Towson and Delaware will be meeting for the 77th time on Sunday. The Tigers and Blue Hens have split the all-time series 38-38. Towson has won three straight in the series including each of the last two meetings in Newark.
Seeing Double: A pair of Tigers posted double-double performances in Wednesday night's contest at James Madison. Junior
Jessica Lewis had 18 kills and 16 digs for her second double-double of the year. The 16 digs tied her career-high set while at South Alabama. Redshirt senior
Aimee Schubert had 29 assists and 10 digs for her fourth double-double of the year and third straight.
Can I Help You With That: The Towson setters have done a solid job of running the offense this season. In the national stats released by the NCAA on Thursday, the Tigers ranked first in the nation in team assists (788) and eighth in assists per set (13.59). Redshirt senior
Aimee Schubert ranks fifth in the CAA while averaging 7.09 assists per set. Fellow senior
Kyana Miller is 10th while averaging 5.09 helpers per set.
Acing Our Way to the Top: The Tigers have piled up the service aces so far this season. Towson has recorded 98 service aces so far this season. The Tigers rank 13th in the nation in total team service aces. Eleven Tigers have recorded at least one service ace on the year. That group is led by the freshman duo of
Jocelyn Kuilan and
Anna Holehouse. Kuilan has 21 total service aces and ranks third in the CAA while averaging 0.36 aces per set. Holehouse has 18 service aces and ranks tied for ninth while averaging 0.31 per set.
