CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The Towson men's swimming and diving program fell to both Virginia Tech and Virginia on day two of the Virginia Tech double dual meet on Saturday. The Tigers had two top-five finishes on Saturday for a total of seven top-five finishes over the two-day meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED (SWIM EVENTS)- Matt McKenney timed 50.50 in the 100-yard butterfly for a fifth-place finish.
- Matt Hans placed sixth in the 50-yard freestyle, timing 21.28.
- Nick Breschi finished sixth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 51.36.
- Stefan Keller placed sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:07.98). He also finished eighth in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:10.47.
- Brandon Ress came in sixth-place in the 200-yard freestyle, timing 1:43.28.
- Will Dougherty finished tenth in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:44.41.
- The 200-yard medley relay of Breschi, Todd, McKenney and Hans finished fourth with a time of 1:33.90.
- Hans, Breschi, McKenney and Ress combined for a sixth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:13.52).

HOW IT HAPPENED (DIVING)- Jake Casey came in eighth-place in the three-meter event with a score of 139.50. He placed ninth in the one-meter event (135.10).

Towson makes the short trip to local rival Johns Hopkins for a dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 1 p.m.
