TOWSON, Md. – Players from the Towson University and Loyola University men's basketball teams see each other often.
"We get our haircut at the same places," Towson junior guard
Eddie Keith II said. "We shop at the same mall and go to the same movie theatres. We often play pickup games during the summer against each other. To say we beat them means a lot. That's why the games are so intense and tough whenever we play them."
After claiming a 65-54 victory last season on the road, Towson owned bragging rights for the past year. The Tigers are looking to earn consecutive victories over Loyola for the first time since 2007 when they meet for the 73rd time Wednesday night. This is always a fun non-conference battle when these teams get together.
For Towson, this will be the fifth of a six-game homestand along with an opportunity to continue its recent success against the local Division I schools. The Tigers have won six straight games against Baltimore area schools.
