Tigers Fall on the Road at New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. – The Towson University football team got a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough in falling, 40-17, to No. 17 New Hampshire Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.

How it Happened
  • The Wildcats got on the board first as they took advantage of a short field to get a 26-yard touchdown run from DeUnte Chatman.
  • The Tigers were able to answer back late in the first quarter with a nine-play scoring drive.  The drive was capped by an Aidan O'Neill 40yard field goal.
  • The second quarter belonged to UNH as the Wildcats threw four touchdown passes in the quarter to take a 33-3 lead into halftime.
  • Defensive back Tyron McDade put an end to another scoring threat with a leaping interception at the two yard line.
  • The Tigers were able to find the endzone early in the fourth quarter when Kanyia Anderson scooped up a fumble and returned it 93 yards for the touchdown.
  • The offense found its way into the endzone near the end of the game as Ryan Stover capped a 3-play drive with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Sam Gallahan.
  • The drive started after Coby Tippett returned the punt 21 yards to near midfield.
  • Stover found Gallahan for 25 yards before Stover hit David Bryant for a nine-yard completion.
