TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's tennis team earned a 6-1 win over Morgan State on Wednesday afternoon at the Towson Center Courts to extend its win streak to three-straight matches.
 
How it Happened

• Towson swept the three doubles matches to win the opening doubles point. At the top doubles flight, Renate van Oorschodt and A.J. Gomer held on for a 7-5 win over Kayla Price and Katia Jordan. Lucy Williams and Lucy Gloninger combined for a 6-2 win against Yvonne Peters-Washington and Dana Santiago at No. 2 doubles. The final doubles flight was a 6-1 win by Sophie Lesage and Yevgeniya Shusterman over Danielle Thompson and Chloe Kabamba.
• Nicole Shakhnazarova earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at the top singles flight over Katia Jordan.
• Lucy Williams posted a 7-6(3), 6-1 win against Chloe Kabamba at No. 3 singles.
• At the fourth singles flight, Renate van Oorschodt defeated Yvonne Peters-Washington 6-1, 6-3.
• Lucy Gloninger bested Dana Santiago 6-1, 6-2 at the fifth singles flight.
• At the No. 6 spot, Sophie Lesage won by default due to an injury to a Morgan State player.
• Morgan State's sole point came at No. 2 singles as Danielle Thompson earned a third-set comeback over A.J. Gomer. Gomer lost the first set 6-4 before rebounding in the second set 7-5 and falling in the final set 1-0 (10-6).
