TOWSON, Md. – Playing down a player for the final 25 minutes, the Towson University women's soccer team was nipped 1-0 at home in the Tigers' Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) against visiting Delaware Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened
- After a relatively calm first half that featured two shots, both from Delaware players, the action picked up in the second half.
- Towson came out in the second period as Elizabeth took a shot three minutes in, but the attempt was blocked in front.
- In the 25th meeting all-time between Towson and Delaware, things got chippy as Blue Hen Lexi Faulmino was carded in the 55th minute.
- After a ball was chipped over the Blue Hen defense, McCaull and her defender chased the ball down. After a tangle on the touch line, McCaull was hit with a red card and the Tigers played shorthanded the rest of the way.
- The Tigers' best scoring chance of the half came in the 69th minute as Coletti sent in a corner kick, looking for Maddie Bové. The senior got a head on the ball, but the chance went right of the goal.
- In the 75th minute, Bové was marking a Blue Hen in the box and she fouled the Delaware player, setting up a penalty kick.
- Gabby Johnson stepped up to the spot for Delaware and converted the chance for a 1-0 lead.
- That goal proved to be the game winner as the final 15 minutes of the game came and went without a chance.
Behind the Numbers
- Delaware controlled the pace of play, out-shooting the Tigers 14-4, including 6-0 for shots on goal.
- Tiger goalkeeper Taylor Sebolao turned aside five Delaware attempts on the day. She made two saves in the first half, with another three in the second.
- Corner kicks were even as each side sent in three. Both teams took two corner kicks in the second stanza.
- Sunday's contest was the 10th game for the Tigers this season that was decided by one goal or resulted in a tie.
- The game at the Tiger Soccer Complex was the sixth-straight game in the series that was decided by one goal or resulted in a tie. Through Sunday's match, 18 of the 25 meetings were one-goal affairs or resulted in a tie.
