TOWSON, Md. –
Zane Martin scored 30 of his game-high 32 points after intermission during Towson University's 83-76 setback to Elon in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) men's basketball game at SECU Arena Saturday afternoon.
It was Martin's second consecutive 30-point outing. In two games this week, Martin averaged 33.5 points. He became the first Towson men's basketball player to record consecutive games of 30 or more points since Gary Neal did it on Feb. 21, 2007 (30 points against Old Dominion) and Feb. 24, 2007 (30 against Drexel).
Martin raised his season average to 19.6 points per game. He started the week averaging 18.3 points per contest. In two games against Elon this season, Martin averaged 29.5 points per contest. He has scored in double figures in 17 consecutive games. This was the third straight game in which Martin finished with more than 20 points.

- In addition to Martin, senior guard Mike Morsell contributed 16 points and five rebounds.
- Martin made five of Towson's seven 3-pointers.
