TOWSON, Md. -The Towson University men's swimming and diving team will travel to Annapolis, Md. to compete in the Navy Invite. Johns Hopkins and William & Mary will also be competing on Friday. Teams will compete in Lejeune Hall on the Navy Campus beginning at 4 p.m.
The series (Navy leads 3-0): Navy leads the series on the men's side. In last meeting between the men's squad last year saw the Tigers drop a 180-117 decision.
The series (John Hopkins leads 9-4): Towson won the last meeting 172.50-115.50.
The series (William & Mary leads 3-18): In the last meeting between the two teams, the Tigers lost, 177-85.
Last time out: The Tigers started their opening campaign on fire. Towson defeated Georgetown 172-126.
Nick McClure prevailed in two events the 200-yard butterfly and 100-yard butterfly.
Jack Saunderson was first in the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard individual medley while
Matt Essing came in first in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle. Sophomore
Will Canny was named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Diver of the week on Tuesday after finishing with a score of 252.30 to win the 1-meter diving competition. He was second in the 3-meter diving competition event with a score of 235.90.
