Tigers Fall Short In La Salle Setback

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Jakigh Dottin and Brian Fobbs scored 12 points each to lead the Towson University men's basketball team during a 57-51 setback to La Salle in the championship game of the Boardwalk Battle presented by Coca-Cola at historic Boardwalk Hall Saturday afternoon.

  • Dennis Tunstall collected 14 rebounds, one shy of his career best.
  • Tunstall finished with a season best three blocked shots.
  • Dottin complimented his career-high point total with a career best seven rebounds.
  • Towson held its second consecutive opponent below 60 points.
  • The Tigers held La Salle to 29.8 percent shooting.
  • After not having a rebound in the first four minutes of the game, the Tigers finished with a 41-32 edge on the glass.
  • Towson had chances late in the game to tie or take the lead.
  • Trailing 52-50, Towson had the ball but missed a shot with 63 seconds remaining.
