TOWSON, Md. –
Zane Martin and
Mike Morsell continued their double-digit scoring streaks during Towson's 77-62 setback to visiting Northeastern in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at SECU Arena.
This was the Tigers' annual Autism Awareness game.
In reaching double figures for the 21st consecutive game, Martin scored 21 points to lead the Tigers. It was also the 16th time this season Martin has hit for at least 20 points.
Morsell added 17 points for his ninth straight double-digit performance. In addition to blocking a pair of shots, Morsell raised his career scoring total to 1,458 points.
Justin Gorham grabbed eight rebounds for Towson, which lost its second straight home game. This was the fourth time in the Tigers' last five games that he led the team in rebounding.
Eddie Keith II, who is fifth in the conference in blocked shots, finished with two rejections.
