Towson Cruises Past Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior Megan Dejter tossed her 54th career complete game to help the Towson University softball team claim a 7-2 victory over host Charlotte in the 49er Classic at Daughtridge Stadium Friday afternoon.
 
Dejter struck out a season best six batters to help the Tigers enjoy a perfect day. The Tigers opened the 49er Classic with an 8-4 win over Oakland. Dejter, who raised her season record to 3-0, retired nine straight hitters in the middle innings as the Tigers captured their first road victory of the season.

How It Happened
  • Towson's offense backed Dejter with 10 hits.
  • The Tigers turned three Charlotte errors into three unearned runs.
  • Madison Wilson, Kendyl Scott, Brook Miko, and Kaylen Minnatee had two hits each.
  • Olivia Baltazar scored twice.
  • The Tigers provided Dejter an early advantage by scoring single runs in the first two innings.
