TOWSON, Md. –Spirited Loch Raven Technical Academy students took a break from their classes to engage in a conversation with Towson University men's basketball players Friday morning.
 
Towson junior guard Tobias Howard, redshirt junior forward Nakye Sanders and senior guard Jordan McNeil had a good time answering questions about basketball, time management, life and their future plans.
 
Visiting the school was mutually beneficial for both the players and the middle school students.
 
"It means a lot to me to be able to give back because I was in their shoes listening to someone who came in a spoke when I was trying to achieve the same goals," Howard said.
 
The players were surprised to find that many of questions allowed them to reflect on their own careers such as "what would the athletes do differently if they were back in middle school?"
 
The Tigers also relayed advice to the hopeful students about what it takes to be successful in life and in the sport they plan on pursing.
 
"It means everything to me to be able to use my platform as Division I basketball player to motive and be an inspiration to the youth," Sanders said.

The start of basketball season is right around the corner.
 
The Tigers' first home game is set for Sunday, Nov. 11 against Wesley. It's the first of 13 home games for Towson during the 2018-19 season. More information on season tickets will be available at a later date.
