How It Happened Nakye Sanders posted his first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. It's the second straight game with 10 rebounds for Sanders. Brian Fobbs led the Tigers with 21 points. Fobbs, who reached double figures in scoring for the 15th consecutive games, also added eight rebounds. Fobbs scored 17 points in the second half. Allen Betrand, playing his first career collegiate game in his hometown, scored a career best 11 points. Betrand made three 3-pointers. Tobias Howard, Jr. had nine points and five assists. Dennis Tunstall finished with seven rebounds for Towson, which made eight 3-pointers. Alihan Demir scored a game-high 22 points and had 16 rebounds for Drexel, which rallied from a 57-47 deficit in the final 10 minutes to end a six-game losing streak to the Tigers. Jarvis Doles scored 16 points and made four 3-pointers. Troy Harper added 10 points while Camren Wynter handed out eight assists for the Dragons. Drexel held a 35-34 halftime edge. Sanders had some good highlights in the first half by making a 3-pointer, blocking a Drexel attempt and throwing down a dunk of his own. Betrand sparked the Tigers with a pair of 3-pointers in the opening 11 minutes to help Towson open a 25-14 advantage. Inside The Numbers Fobbs has grabbed at least six rebounds 11 times this season. This was the fifth time this season that Fobbs finished with at least 20 points. Sanders has reached double digits in scoring in four of the Tigers last five games. Betrand has scored in double figures in two of Towson's last three games. Betrand has made five 3-pointers over his last three games. This was the fifth game this season that Howard had at least five assists. Every Tiger who played scored. Tunstall also had a pair of blocked shots. The Tigers won the battle of the benches, 26-21. The game featured five lead changes and four ties. Drexel was 11-for-12 from the foul line in the second half. Each team made eight 3-pointers.
