Sachs' Five Goal Effort Not Enough as Navy Sinks Towson

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Junior midfielder Annie Sachs scored five second half goals, but the 19th ranked Towson women's lacrosse team dropped a 14-13 decision to 18th ranked Navy Saturday afternoon. This was the first match-up between the two teams.

Senior captain Natalie Sulmonte and sophomore Rayna Dultuva each scored two goals for Towson, while sophomore attacker Kaitlin Thornton added one goal and two assists.

The Tigers (0-3) have dropped close road games to ranked teams to begin the 2019 season, also losing at Penn State and at Georgetown.

Towson will play host to Stony Brook, one of the top 10 teams in the nation, Friday at Johnny Unitas® Stadium.
