Three Tigers Hit Double Digits In Setback To JMU

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Towson University men's basketball team concluded its season with a 74-73 loss to James Madison in the first round of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) tournament at the North Charleston Coliseum Saturday.
 
James Madison guard Matt Lewis made a 3-pointer with 2.7 seconds remaining from the top of the key to win the game. Towson's last second shot hit the backboard as time expired.
 
How It Happened
  • Brian Fobbs led Towson with 18 points.
  • Allen Betrand and Tobias Howard added 10 points each for the Tigers, who lost a game by six points or less for the ninth time this season.
  • Howard scored all his points in the second half.
  • Dennis Tunstall led the Tigers with 10 rebounds.
  • Nakye Sanders, Solomon Uyaelunmo and Tunstall finished with seven points each.
